Bijli Mahotsav- under the umbrella event Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya – Power @2047, by Ministry of Power is being held across the country as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The initiative aims at encouraging more public participation and getting across the developments in the power sector to the citizens at large.

With the active participation of District Administration,the Bijli Mahotsav is being celebrated in collaboration between the Central and State Governments and highlighting the key achievements of the power sector in the northeastern State.

Cultural programmes, Nukkad Natak theatrical performance on the use and benefits of electricity and screening of short films on the power sector are highlights of the program.
